The goal is to maintain the historical integrity of pure gum spirits of turpentine and pine gum rosin while also providing our customers with premier products they can afford. Our pine gum rosin, also called colophony, has many uses, among which are tackifiers (for adhesives) grip enhancers (for use by athletes) incense for use on stringed instruments soldering fluxes hobbies/crafts (soap-making, candle-making, etc.) health and beauty supplies home remedies paints and varnishes. Pine gum rosin is not listed as a food-grade item and therefore is not for internal use. Please note that during the hot Summer months, this product may melt and re-solidify during shipping. THE rosin is an organic compound, and NO chemicals are used to alter the softening point. This means that it may arrive in a more solid mass, with a bit darker color than is pictured.
