Wild Crafted Burdock Root Dried Cut ~ 2 oz Burdock is indigenous to Europe, Asia, the Mediterranean and Middle East. The herb made a new home in North America, however, as it travelled with early English and French colonists. Burdock established itself and spread so prolifically throughout the colonies that a botanist mistakenly classified the plant as a native species in the mid-1600s. Today, with the exception of a few places along the southern border, burdock can be found just about everywhere in the United States. An infusion of the root, applied as a poultice to the soles of the feet, is a Medieval remedy for “hysterical disorders.” The root is also traditionally decocted for use as a skin wash, or is macerated in oil to use as a base in shampoos and hair conditioners. Each order is packaged and sealed in aluminum foil zip lock bag. Shipping via USPS First Class with tracking.
